The fifth anniversary was also Dana's birthday. Our Czech fiber's teachers made her a traditional cake with a firecracker candle on top.
Afterwords, a group of us walked down to the river to enjoy the sunset.
My favorite print maker from art history is Mucha, who is from Prague. I went to the Mucha Museum the first week here, but I was unable to take photos. Here is an incredible painting by him.
The Czech art was the most breathtaking to me. Aside from Mucha, I'd never heard about Czech painters.

The museum had a mind-blowing collection, especially considering the number of years it was restricted in collecting (Nazi and Communist control back to back). I only posted my favorites, but if you come to Prague, you absolutely can't miss this museum.
Lucky me! My favorite painter Gustav Klimt (predictably, ahhh) is from Austria.
These next two are another Austrian painter, Egon Schiele.
There were several old-school photo booths. The machine doesn't warn you, so the photos come out quirkier than the new digital ones. The photos come out black and white and you have to wait five minutes for them to develop. Best two Euros I've ever spent!
Waiting is the best!
Tons of teens and younger adults come out to the Museums Quarter after dark. There don't seem to be any open container laws in any of these places, most people brought their own alcohol and relaxed with their friends out in public.
The Museums Quarter is filled with these semi-squishy modern pink lounging chairs. They seem to be painted a different color every season and are great to relax on.
The public transit system was fantastic. Many of the streets were wide enough for all sorts of traffic. There were also lots of rental public bikes all over the city.
We got lost pretty quickly, fortunately a cool guy found us who spoke really amazing English (his girlfriend is American). So lucky for us, or well, lucky for her.
In one of the main squares, there's a preserved roman house that was unearthed during construction. It's mind blowing to think this is underneath much of the city below!

The river was cold and crystal clear. It was exactly like the St. Lawrence, right down to the fish at the bottom.
But in Vienna, there are swans instead of Canadian Geese.
